I am a young Kenyan who seeks to emulate the best brains that this beautiful country has to offer and make a difference where I can.
I speak my mind, and appreciate the same from those I interact with, but only if it is guided by good sense and reason. I do not shout, I curse when I absolutely have to and I am very slow to anger.
I have a Bachelors Degree in Economics and Sociology. I have also embarked on a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) course which I expect to finish in three years time.
I am also widely read on most issues and can thus argue on a wide array of topics with relative ease, and hence the various topics covered in this blog.
I am one of the few who believe that we will make a difference in this country starting today, starting with us, individually. The momentum is building…
You can reach me through the comments area.
I am open to any Ideas, Proposals, Prepositions, and offers.
Welcome aboard my humble blog…

Most interesting, indeed…

Hey Marvin, I read your blog on and off – I am a “non-serious blogger” – maybe someday that will change. I see you are doing the CFA – I successfully did my Level I a few years ago – stopped to go for Grad/Business School, finished grad school and promised to get right back on it – but instead began working on my doctorate
I will finish Level II and III sometime though ( at least that’s the plan) – All the best with the CFA!

Sorry to “clutter” your blog but – Not sure if you know of this Forum for the CFA, CAIA and FRM Exams – Maybe you already are on the Forum, but if you aren’t, I recommend you jump on. The Level specific sections are awesome tools for discussions and the General forum has hilarious discussions
You can only register with a work or school email address:

Hi Cynthia…
It is not clutter. On the contrary; it is quite useful information that you have given me there. I knew of analystforum but had not registered with them since I did not know how to. Now I do, school or work email address. Thanks again Cynthia.
I got my books quite late because of shipping problems and so I am reading under a very tight schedule. The forum will hopefully help me with the most difficult part of the studies. Best wishes are of course very much welcome. Thank you again.
Regards
Tumbo

Hey Marv,
You are a pleasant read. Great insight on many issues! I have hardly commented on your blog but do occasionaly drop by. Thought I would tag you for one of those honest scrap awards, a little more about some honest things about you would make for a good read. Cheers! Maya

Hi Isaac
CFA is a great thing to embark on. Visit http://www.cfainstitute.org which should give all the info you need. If you have any more questions after that, feel free to reach me here.
