Still Proud to be Kenyan.

I have not had internet for the better part of the week because the cables that runs to that part of town were vandalized. That is the other not so glorious part about being in Kenya. It has been three days of hell without the net and the way I have a lot to do. I have had to travel to the other part of town just to access the internet.

There are several blog posts that are already typed up and need psoting but there I was, waiting, thinking that the net would be back within hours. I forgot that this is Kenya where people will not start working until the end of th day so that they can claim overtime. I have seen it happen plenty with the Kenya power guys and I guess it is no different for the Telkom guys.

Fibre Optic cable landed in Kenya last week and I can’t wait for it to be operational. Bad Internet Connections are a leading cause of stress especially in the face of deadlines. I have been there and so have the majority of Kenyans.
